DGK Dan Smith presents our council's Top Recruiters GK Pat Beer and Warden Al Matysiak with certificates signed by Supreme Knight Carl Anderson to commerate their outstanding achievment in recruiting new Christian men into the Knights of Columbus. Between them they brought seven new members into Murphy's Knights!

Knight of the Month & Family of the Month
Knight of the month, Tom O'Neill has proven time and time again through the selfless giving of his time, that he is an example of what being a Knight is all about. His dedication and service to our council and parish is deeply appreciated. Tom is a past Grand Knight, past District Deputy and is a 4th Degree Knight.
Family of the Month is awarded to Simon and Shannon Ryan. Simon and Shannon have worked as a team to assist in various council events since becoming a Knight. Their most recent service has been the entire Ryan family assisting in the Tootsie Roll Drive. The council appreciates their dedication and generous giving of their time.

The Pangia family, Michael, James and Laura pictured above and Thomas and Andrew not in photo are a great example of a Catholic family. Michael is a lector, Laura teaches CCD, Thomas is a lector, Andrew is Alter Boy and helps prepare for the mass. Andrew and Thomas rarely miss attending mass during the week. 12.10
Don Alllen has been a Knight since 1969 and is one of the charter members of our council. No matter what project the council takes on, it seems Don is always there to help. Recently, he was instrumental in making our Blood Drive a success and every Tuesday, he delivers transports food from the parish hall to the food pantry. 12.10

We are pleased to announce the Knights of Columbus Council 9458 Substance Abuse Poster Contest winners! They are:
Liz Chambers, John Milledge Academy - Age 8-11 Alcohol Awareness
Madison Davis, Midway Elementary - Age 8-11 Drug Awareness
Each of the winners will receive a $50 US Savings Bond.
This year, we had a tie for the school with most participation, so we will be giving BOTH
John Milledge Academy and Midway Elementary each a $100 award.
