Family of the Month of September is awarded to Bob and Pat Chiplock. They have become active members of the Parish ever since they moved here a couple of yeas ago from Lathan, New York. They are the parents of four children, Bobby, Kevin, Tamara and Megan. Bob was a member of Council 3394 and transferred to our council a couple of months ago. He and Pat worked hard to make our annual Yard Sale a success and Bob has been a regular labor at the "Big Dig"as seen here receiving the Family of the Month award from PGK Bob Pratt while taking a break from laying pavers.

Knight of the Month of September is awarded to Al Matysiak. Al is a valued member of our council...he freely gives of his time on every project we take on. He worked hard picking up Yard Sale items, he and his wife Pat helped set up for the yard sale too.

Al and Bob are excellent examples of what being a Knight is all about. We are proud and honored to have them as our Brothers.
Congratulations! Brother Knights C.J. Rutledge and Mack Hudson advanced to their 3rd Degree of Knighthood this past Saturday September 26th in Macon, GA. May God continue to bless you both on your journey in Knighthood.

My Brother Knights!

A new fraternal year is in full swing and our council is as strong as ever.  There is clearly something special about being a Catholic man, among other Catholic men, doing God’s Work.  I hope that each of you can feel the power of the Holy Spirit in the work that we do.  When I am with my Brother Knights, I definitely feel the Spirit.  The sensation is palpable.

The Knights of Columbus is recognized as the strong lay arm of the church and we will have ample opportunities this year to practice what we preach.  Our new priest is absolutely outstanding and he is definitely a self-starter filled with ideas and the power of the Holy Spirit.  Our council must be his “go to” guys to help him accomplish his vision.

Many hands make short work so we can use everyone’s help.  I am always heartened by the ready hand extended in friendship by my Brother Knights.  Look around the church.  If something is happening, there are usually Knights helping out.

I encourage each of my brother Knights to get involved and stay involved.  Remember why you chose to become a Knight!

Vivat Jesu!

Pat
